Siempre entusiasta y desbordante de energía, a Rolando Villazón le gusta sorprender a los que le aman! No comienza el año 2011 cantando, sino con su primera puesta en escena: Werther en la Ópera de Lyon, el 24 de enero. Una idea que germinó en su cabeza cuando encarnaba a Rodolfo en La Bohème, en Londres. "Richard Jones dirigía el espectáculo, y  fue él quien me sugirió probar un día esa experiencia. Más tarde, cuando debuté en el Werther de Niza, me dije a mi mismo que el último acto era realmente difícil, inventé algo en mi cabeza distraerme. La idea hizo su camino. Este Werther de Lyon se lo debo en parte a Alain Lanceron, que me puso en contacto con Sergio Dorny. Esto no será un hecho aislado, tengo intención de seguir en este camino, sin dejar de cantar".

But during my childhood my family didn’t travel around the country much – we’d just go to the beaches of Acapulco a few hours’ drive away or we went to the States. We have now been married for 13 years.
